Calcium Nitrate Storage Tanks for Yara UK Ltd at Meary Veg STW

We recently had the privilege of working with Yara UK Ltd to provide three custom 30m³ storage tanks for Meary Veg Sewage Treatment Works on the Isle of Man. Yara, a global leader in agricultural solutions, required tanks specifically designed to store 50% calcium nitrate, an essential chemical for water treatment processes.

Tailored Features for Safe and Efficient Operation

Each of the three tanks was engineered with precision to meet the rigorous requirements of calcium nitrate storage:

• Specialised Flanges and Pipework: The tanks were equipped with various flanges and specialised pipework to facilitate safe and efficient chemical transfer, enabling seamless integration with Meary Veg’s existing infrastructure.

• Cat and Mouse Level Indicator: For accurate liquid level measurement, we integrated a cat and mouse indicator system, a reliable and straightforward solution that provides clear visibility of tank levels. This feature ensures that operators at Meary Veg STW can closely monitor the calcium nitrate volume, maintaining optimal levels and supporting smooth water treatment operations.
