Standard Storage Tanks
Camplas SuperTank® range. Winner of the Queens award for Technological achievement, Camplas’s GRP Chemical storage tanks from Europe’s leading manufacturer…
Above or below ground, tanks designed to remove or contain contaminants from water and air, which would otherwise harm the environment, cause, flooding or pollution.
13,000 Tanks now in service worldwide
Winner of 1987 Queens award for Technological advancement
BS4994-1987 (formerly BS4994-1973) with a minimum factor of safety of 8/1
Designed to contain overflows to control waters at times of heavy rainfall or other events which are beyond the capacity of the treatment system.
Gravity or pumped discharge return and can be fitted to consented discharges to reduce the impact on the environment or to prevent non-consensual discharges, which could result in prosecution under the water resources act.
First one is 3 x 300m3 Attenuator – Welsh Water, Nelson, South Wales.
6 x 200m3 Pumped discharge Attenuator- Royal St Andrews Golf Course, Scotland
To prevent flooding by holding back surges in rainfall and allowing it to discharge at a controlled rate after the storm has subsided up to 300,000 Litres in one piece or of an unlimited capacity in multiples when linked together in series or parallel. Can be installed above or below ground with a Camplas ‘orifice plate’ or vortex type flow control device to limit the flow to that which would prevent flooding.
300m3 above ground self supporting Storm attenuator- M6 Motorway, Thelwall Viaduct, England
3 stage class 1 filterceptor – washdown yard environmental agency, Coychurch Rd, Bridgend
Gravity or pumped discharge return and can be fitted to consented discharges to reduce the impact on the environment or to prevent non-consensual discharges, which could result in prosecution under the water resources act.
Filters the first flesh up to 10% of the maximum 50 mm/h rainfall used on large low contamination areas, such as car parks, motorways airports and military bases.
Europes Larges class 1 bypass filterceptor- RAF Honington
25m3 Chemceptor For Sulphuric acid and aluminium sulphate spillages – Yorkshire Water Plc
Above or below ground, holding tanks for high-risk areas of chemical detergent or hydrocarbon spillages, such as tanker and loading areas tank farms wash down areas. Often used in parallel with a Camplas diverter flow valve to either manually or automatically divert, a spill to the chemceptor in an emergency. Sometimes provided with a double skin facility with a vacuum warning device for added protection against potential pollution.
Turn invert a spillage to a chemceptor, or contain it within the drainage system in the event of a spillage, or when a wash down operations are taking place can be operated manually by pushbutton or from an electronic signal from the centre of oil PH or high temperature.
The smallest diverter flow of 110 mm diameter at RAF Saint Athan, connected to an aircraft, steam cleaner. The largest which was 1500 mm diameter operated by sensors to indicate high temperature oil, level or pH to close. The valve automatically in the event of an emergency. Spillage can also be operated by emergency pushbutton in the event of a fire to contain the products of combustion and firefighting foam.
Manhole size 3 stage filter for small areas with high contamination risk such as transformer bunds
